Why We're Unique

Special Services

Because our 83-bed facility is small, the physical and emotional well-being of our residents is never overlooked.  High staffing ratios, delicious Armenian and American meals, state-of-the-art equipment, seven-day-a-week activities, and a multi-lingual staff reflect our commitment to providing close, caring attention to the needs of all our patients and residents.

Competent and Caring Staff

Many of our staff have contributed 15 years or more of service.  In fact, over 45 percent have been with us for 5 years or more.  We hope you will get to know as many of our staff as possible because the best care is derived from close family/staff relationships and shared efforts.  Our nursing department practices primary nursing care that provides consistent caregivers for your loved one.  Several of our staff are multi-lingual.  Among the languages spoken here in addition to English are Arabic, Armenian, French, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish.

Electronic Protection System

Our Center has an electronic protection system to ensure the safety of your loved one.  A light-weight, electronic bracelet alerts the staff in the event a confused resident were to attempt to leave the second floor or the first floor exits.

Rehabilitation Services/

Complex Medical Services

The Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center offers short-term rehabilitation to patients whose goal is to return home.  In addition, our nursing staff is trained to handle complex medical needs such as IV therapy, g-tube and j-tube management, pain management, wound care, and end-of-life care.

Activity Programs

Our seven-day-per-week activity program features programs and events such as cooking groups, current events discussions, Bible study, musical entertainment, and exercise groups.  We also offer bus trips to a variety of destinations.  Religious services are offered weekly.  Two activity staff members work in the building every day of the week.  We also have a dedicated group of volunteers who regularly visit, play games, conduct Bible studies, and provide musical entertainment for our residents.

Meals

Under the supervision of our Dietitian and Food Service Director, we serve delicious, nutritious meals and snacks guaranteed to please even the most particular eater.  We feature a combination of Armenian and traditional American cuisine with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables.  We also provide therapeutic diets as prescribed by the attending physician.
